The Train Story

I’ve been riding the metro for years now. It has been the fastest transportation facility that can take me anywhere escaping the traffic jam. With all these years of riding the train, I experienced a lot of things and noticed a lot around me.  I have to spend around 45 minutes going one way to work that is about 12 train stops and with all these years and time, I am now writing my Train Story.

The Mosh Pit

I prepare much before going to work, not only on how I look but I prepare my body for THE MOSH PIT. Rush hour is seriously rush hour!  Due to its time convenience, a lot of people are using the metro and without the discipline, the train ride turns into a mosh pit. There’s a lot of pushing and body to body contact.   You must be mentally and physically prepared.  You should know how to strategies as well, like know where the train door will stop so you can be on the move once it’s open. You must know where to stand to be a bit comfortable when the next round of people comes in. All this things you need to know and experience made me an expert train mosh pit rider.

The shoes and the bags

Since I have the heart for shoes and bags, these are the main things I usually notice inside the train. I normally ride on the female couch so it will be more comfortable for me even if the train couch is over populated.  I am amazed on how many kinds of shoes and bags there is.  With my keen observation, I seldom see people with the same shoes or bags, so I cannot imagine how many style, colors or brands of shoes and bags are available out there. In the train, you will know “what in” in different age level or in different walks of life.

The Fight Club

What do you expect from a lot of girls inside one couch??? A lot of fighting!  This is the downside when I choose to ride on the girl’s only train couch but it’s better than those nasty guys who will try to rub their body to you intentionally.  The fights can be sometimes funny and entertaining. They fight for one reason, their space in the train.  I had few minor fights of my own.  There was this girl who keep on moving around beside me, I told her to stop moving because it’s hurting me, it was a body to body situation that I think I can faint standing.  She answered back in a very bad tone saying that she cannot move and asking me to move. I said in a sharp town, where should I move, that’s your body on my back and this girl’s back right on front of me, you should have took a plane so you will not feel that way.

Then there’s the fight about robbers.  Train robbers or those pick pockets are quite rampant as well. So you have to protect and be alert all the time.  Some will pretend as a victim so other people’s attention will be lost, and then they will hunt for a victim.

My reading

I love reading a lot but with my hectic schedule it’s getting hard to find them where and when to read.  This is something I love about the train, I can read. I have read and finished books just by reading while I am in the train. Its 12 train stops and around 45 minutes if there’s no long stop. It’s actually a good time to read.  I cannot forget this one time I was reading “The Lost Symbol”. I had the hard bound on my hand when I entered the train couch.  I did not get a seat so I was standing in front of this guy. When I open the book he was saying “No NO NO, don’t preach”.  I was dumbfounded by his reaction then I laugh so hard when I realized that he thought I will start preaching in the train.  I said, No no no too, it’s a book I’m reading, and then he pretended to just sleep.

I know that I will have more train stories, the experiences are sometimes frustrating but I am just thinking that this is an adventure I have to take in my everyday working life. Every morning, I had to go to the end to begin when In fact the 3rd station is near my place.  I’ll rather spend more time and pay double just to avoid getting hurt.

will never stop writing.....

Writing has been my passion for many years. I remember my Xanga blog where I knew people from different countries. Some I really kept as friend. Blogging is also my way of expressing my mind. I am vocal person but I think there are still many things in my mind that I can only release through writing.

In writing there’s no judgment on your physical look, no judgment on how your voice sounds like and even the tone you used. In writing, what you want to imply can be as neutral. You can define your feelings by using few characters or smiley icons.

I feel that I am exercising my brain when I write. Unlike talking, you need to think every word you type before you actually type it. Sometimes, talking doesn’t require much thinking. Blogging has been a fad for many people. Now, bloggers can write about anything, food, fashion, traveling or just about anything. I can see how writing evolved through the years.

I thank blogging and people who love writing! I feel connected to more people by just reading entries. I can read recommendations and see different places just by clicking.

I will never stop writing. Sometimes I feel so clogged inside if I stopped writing for a while due to busy life style or by just being blank. When I can think of what to write and start writing, my fingers do not want to stop typing everything that goes into my mind.

Writing is a gift as not all people can express and write what they think about. I hope that all those people who has the gift will never stop to write write and write! Happy blogging to all!

Happy First Mother's Day!

This year will be my official mother’s day celebration. My little one will be celebrating her birthday this June. I am very much excited and looking forward for this Sunday. Motherhood was the best thing that happened to me. This experience changed a lot on how I see things and how I see love. I never knew that this type of love exist, the love of a mother to her child. I dated my husband for 7 years before we got married last 2010 and before the end of that year, I got pregnant.

Pregnancy is another thing. It wasn’t easy and I always say that the feeling was a bit weird especially when she was getting bigger inside.  It’s like an “Alien” experience especially when she was moving inside of me. Just funny thinking how my friends always tease my “penguin walk” with my big belly.  No holds bar when it comes to eating. The mentally that every food your enjoying, the little one enjoys too.

Giving birth was really unforgettable. It’s really “labor” as its physically tiring plus the pain. I have such high pain tolerance but the pain of giving birth arrrgggghhh!  But after all my efforts, I called out for a C section.  I was fully aware of what’s happening even after I was injected with anesthesia.  My mind was imprinted of her first glimpse of this world.  I get chills when I remember my little one like a curled up ball when she was pulled out from my tummy.  My first kiss to her before she was taken to be cleaned gave me a feeling of fulfillment and such joy that I cannot explain.

I came back to work a month after giving birth. Most are surprised as most women will have to rest for 3 months but I felt more inspired and happy to go back to work and do my thing.  I know that being a working woman is not the best for the little one as she needs my attention but for this country I am living, this is practical.  Even with my absence, I make sure that I take good care of her in the best way I can.  I want to be better in any way coz I want her to be proud of me.

Having a child is like having a reason for living. Being a mom is not an easy job. It’s a life time commitment that is full of frustration and struggles but she is the best part if me. I know that there will never be the greatest mother in this earth, as a child will always have their issues.  But I will try my best to make sure that my little one will grew happy in this world of ours.

I salute all the mothers in the world and advance happy mother’s day!

The mean girls

I think most of us will not forget high school. Its the years of fitting in. The age of hormones rising and all just want to be in the cool crowd. I remember my high school years very well, i graduated back in 2001 so it wasn't that long. I remember high school like how a jungle was defined. Its a cool place but there's a lot of species. In any high school, you will always have the nerds or the geeks that will have more friends than they have if its exam days. As always there comes the beauty queen or the so called crush of the nation. These girls are like the dream girls of all the boys around you. If you have a barbie in the campus, then you have a Ken! The reason of most girls why they wake up early and make sure they look their best before going to class. Then you have the bullies, the guys who just like making fun of people, pointing and laughing is like their hobby. But then, you have The mean girls!! The most hated of all girls as they will try to intimidate you the best way they can. They are also bullies, the reason why you do not want to go to school. The queen of the campus that everyone should follow, hail and serve. Just like the movies Jaw breakers and Mean girls.... Its quite funny remembering high school at this age.

But sometimes i think i was never out of high school coz these Mean Girls still exist even after these hormonal years. I don't know how this kind of people pop out anywhere, like your neighborhood, company, organization or some industry you belong..its just that its quite common to have these people( not necessary girls ) who wants to feel superior than others. Other people's loneliness is their happiness.

As i was always been even back in high school i never hail to a queen. I believe in equality in any way. Gender or in any status any person might have. Its not right to act superior than others. No one can be better than anyone. You will only have the right to feel better and act better than others if your fart smells like perfume. If not, stay humble and never make others feel bad about themselves. I am not a saint not to be able to hurt people around me but intentional criticism or bullying is way different from just acting as a human

I saw that a lot of people are trying to implement Anti Bullying Law. Hope this will help wash off the attitude of the so called Mean Girls, Hail to the Queen!

Boracay,Philippines - A Reality Escape!

It’s actually my 3rd time in Boracay Philippines. This island is now one of the most popular vacation and tourist destinations. I’m not surprised as this place is like a paradise. The water is bluer than the sky and the sand is so pure that your feet will not burn when you walk barefooted under the sun.   Boracay never failed to relief me from reality, a truly world renounce weekend or holiday getaway.

Traveling

There’s not much fuss to travel to this beautiful island. You can either land to Caticlan Airport that is very near the port or to Kalibo International Airport of Aklan that requires two hours of traveling by land to get to the port. Thus, it’s a smooth two hours.  Few countries have a direct flight to Kalibo airport like Korea or China.  If not, you can just land and connect through Ninoy Aquino International airport which is the in the center of the Philippines, Manila.  All types of transportation's are available when you land, like the tricycles, service vans and the boat that will let you cross the sea.  The island is already a tourist spot so you are very welcome to experience the Boracay getaway.

Food

Of all the vacation spots Ive been, Boracay is the number one for its huge selection of food.  Here you can eat anything from sea foods, grilled, Korean, Chinese, Italian, French, Filipino and a lot more. The beach front is full of restaurants and hotels. They even have street foods. The ranges of selections are definitely unlimited from the type, kind and even the food that will suit your budget.

Night Life

Most of the people who never forgets Boracay never forgets its Nigh Life. Imagine yourself in a place full of bars, good music, and different types of Liquor while digging your toes into the sand! There’s a lot of happenings especially on its season.  Different types of music genre are also present so you will never be out of place in Boracay’s night life!

Things to expect from Boracay:

  • A lot of Koreans

  • A lot of Caucasian

  • People who will offer you things to do like water sports or ATV

  • Hang over!

Hotels, restaurants and bars I’ve been
